About the Project

Designed by Grimshaw Architects, Terra places sustainability at the centre of its architectural identity. A broad solar canopy and surrounding “energy trees” bring together power generation, shade and sculptural form.

My architectural and aerial photography explores the sweep of the canopy, the rhythm of its structure and the changing relationship between light and shadow. From above, the canopy and energy trees reveal their geometry and arrangement within the surrounding landscape.

The project also holds a personal significance: my photograph of Terra was selected for the UAE 500 dirham banknote.
