About the Project

The Russia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, designed by SPEECH architectural office under Sergei Tchoban, was one of the exhibition's most distinctive architectural landmarks. Located in the Mobility District, the pavilion explored the theme Creative Mind: Driving the Future through an expressive design inspired by movement, creativity and innovation.

The building features two nested domes wrapped in an intricate network of multicoloured tubular elements. Inspired by Russian avant-garde art, the dynamic façade creates a striking sense of movement, with changing light revealing the depth, rhythm and geometry of the structure.

This architectural photography series by Dany Eid documents the pavilion's sculptural form, vibrant façade and relationship with its surroundings, exploring how light, colour and perspective define its architectural character.
