Mission Possible, Opportunity Pavilion
About the Project
Designed by AGi Architects, Mission Possible, the Opportunity Pavilion, was one of the three main thematic pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai. Conceived as a public plaza, its architecture explores the relationship between people, shared spaces and the idea that small individual actions can create meaningful change.
The pavilion is defined by its terracotta surfaces and a series of cloud-inspired canopies suspended above the plaza. Their layered textile structures filter natural light, creating changing patterns of transparency, colour and shadow while providing shade for the public spaces below.
My photographic series focuses on the pavilion's architectural geometry, material textures and relationship with its surroundings. Through different perspectives and changing light conditions, the images reveal the interplay between the floating canopies, the earth-toned architecture and the spaces designed for human interaction.
