Masdar City in Abu Dhabi is a pioneering development in sustainable architecture and urban planning, originally masterplanned by Foster + Partners. Inspired by traditional Arabian settlements, its design brings together shaded streets, contemporary façades, passive cooling strategies and renewable energy technologies.

Photographing Masdar City allowed me to explore the relationship between architecture, light and sustainability. From the geometric patterns of its buildings to the interplay of shadows across courtyards and pedestrian spaces, my images focus on the details and design principles that give this development its distinctive architectural identity.

Through this series, I wanted to capture how contemporary architecture can respond to the desert environment while creating spaces designed around people, efficiency and a more sustainable urban future.
