This is one of the extra ordinary display of light, I've witnessed during the 30 days that I spent in Iceland. I recall that the night before we spent our time chasing the Northern light at Vik and we ended up going to bed at 3.30am.

The image was shot at sunrise, which was around 6am and we barely had enough sleeps after a long hike at night. I like to shoot at the black beach during early sunrise because its not crowded by tourists.

To camp in a tenet under the sky of the Arctic and watch the ethereal dance of the aurora, is to witness nature’s most spectacular light show, the kind of phenomenon that seems magical.
