About the Project

Assigned as an architectural photographer for Expo 2020 Dubai, I spent three years documenting the construction process, witnessing the site grow from an ambitious vision into a place filled with architecture, people and ideas. Following its development so closely made this one of the most meaningful projects of my career.

One of the UAE’s most significant national undertakings, Expo 2020 Dubai brought together architectural contributions from around the world. I watched its pavilions, districts and public spaces take shape, returning throughout construction to capture the progress, the details and the moments when each building began to reveal its character.

From above, those individual structures become part of a larger composition. Al Wasl Dome, the shaded walkways and the surrounding pavilions reveal a rhythm of geometry, light and scale. This aerial series explores those connections, from clear mornings and long shadows to fog drifting across the site.

Today, Expo City Dubai carries that legacy forward. For me, these photographs are both an architectural record and a personal reflection on a project I witnessed coming to life, a lasting chapter in the UAE’s history, built to serve generations to come.
