Dubai Hills Estate
About the Project
Contemporary Architecture and Urban Landscape
Dubai Hills Estate is one of Dubai's most significant master-planned residential communities, bringing together contemporary architecture, landscaped open spaces and a carefully organised urban environment.
Developed by Emaar Properties and Meraas, the community forms part of Mohammed Bin Rashid City and extends across approximately 2,700 acres. Its master plan integrates residential neighbourhoods, parks, recreational facilities and an 18-hole championship golf course, creating a distinctive relationship between the built environment and nature.
Through architectural and aerial photography, Dany Eid documents the scale, geometry and spatial organisation of Dubai Hills Estate. The photographic series explores the relationship between residential architecture, landscaped green spaces and the wider Dubai skyline, revealing the visual character of this evolving urban destination.
Architecture, Landscape and Urban Planning
Dubai Hills Estate reflects a contemporary approach to residential master planning, where architecture and landscape are conceived as interconnected elements of the urban environment.
Modern residential towers, private villas and carefully designed public spaces establish a diverse architectural character, while tree-lined streets, pedestrian pathways and expansive green areas contribute to the community's distinctive identity.
Aerial photography offers a broader perspective on the development, revealing the arrangement of buildings, the geometry of the road network and the integration of landscaped spaces within the overall master plan.
The resulting photographs highlight the balance between architectural density, open space and the surrounding city, capturing Dubai Hills Estate as part of Dubai's continuing urban transformation.
