About the Project

CLYMB Abu Dhabi is a distinctive indoor adventure destination located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Developed by Miral and opened in 2019, the facility combines indoor skydiving and rock climbing within a striking architectural structure inspired by the rugged mountain landscapes of the United Arab Emirates.

Designed by Cansult Maunsell, part of AECOM, the building is defined by its angular, crystalline forms and dramatic geometric exterior. Its sculptural architecture accommodates a 43-metre indoor climbing wall and a 10-metre-wide indoor skydiving flight chamber, combining complex engineering requirements with a distinctive visual identity.

This architectural and aerial photography series by Dany Eid explores the building's geometric composition, textured surfaces and relationship with the surrounding Yas Island development. Through changing light, perspective and elevated viewpoints, the photographs reveal the scale and architectural character of this unique structure.
