The Bahrain International Circuit
About the Project
Bahrain International Circuit, located in Sakhir, Bahrain, is one of the Middle East's most recognised motorsport venues. Designed by German engineer Hermann Tilke and opened in 2004, the circuit became the first in the region to host a Formula 1 World Championship race.
Set within the desert landscape, the circuit is defined by its sweeping curves, long straights and extensive motorsport infrastructure. Its distinctive layout creates a strong visual relationship between the engineered racetrack and the surrounding natural terrain.
This aerial photography series by Dany Eid documents Bahrain International Circuit from above, revealing the geometry of the track, the scale of its facilities and the contrast between the built environment and the desert landscape.
