About the Project

Designed by Foster + Partners, Alif’s curved forms and reflective metal façade give the Mobility Pavilion a distinctive presence at Expo City Dubai. Its architecture expresses the idea of movement, with flowing lines and stainless-steel cladding inspired by aircraft wings and the chrome detailing of vehicles. Conceived as a permanent building, it was designed to adapt to new uses beyond Expo 2020.

During my time photographing Expo 2020 Dubai, I had the privilege of witnessing the pavilion take shape, following its construction and development through to completion. My architectural and aerial photographs explore its geometry, the movement of light across its surfaces and its relationship with the surrounding site.
